Your new role
As a VAT Senior Manager, you will deliver VAT services to a wide range of clients including household names, multinational groups and fast‑paced privately‑owned businesses. While strong UK VAT knowledge is essential, a significant portion of your work will involve collaborating across the firm's international network to support clients with global VAT issues. Acting as a key point of contact for your client portfolio, managing relationships and responding proactively to client needs. Taking full responsibility for the delivery of VAT advisory and compliance projects. Managing a portfolio that includes billing, cash collection and assignment planning. Reviewing work produced by junior team members and providing constructive feedback. Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients. Monitoring budgets, identifying overruns and ensuring compliance with internal quality control processes. Highlighting technical issues, risks and opportunities for additional services. Contributing to the management of the VAT group and supporting colleagues across the firm. Coaching, appraising and developing junior team members. Recognising and contributing to business development opportunities, including proposals and pitches. Building relationships with senior client stakeholders and collaborating with internal specialists to deliver integrated solutions. This is a role with real scope to influence how VAT services are delivered, shape client relationships and contribute to the ongoing growth of the practice.
