Our client is a Top Ten accountancy firm in the UK. They seek a Corporate Tax Manager / Associate Director. In this role, you will oversee mainly OMB and some larger PLC clients, delivering both high quality tax compliance and advisory services. You will deal with a range of businesses in a wide variety of industries.

As a Senior Manager / Associate Director, you will have the ability and motivation needed to:

  • Manage your own portfolio and assist in the running of your section and have an input to workflow planning.
  • Consistently bring opportunities and work to the Group.
  • Deliver revenue and profitability targets.
  • Foster enduring client relationships.

Day to day duties include:

  • Oversee a small portfolio of key corporate clients, including their compliance process.
  • Focus a large part of your time in supporting the Tax Partners to deliver tax advisory services to existing and new clients.
  • Assist in managing the corporate tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conducting appraisals, providing coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improving the quality and delivery of work.
  • Establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

This role is based in Manchester, and our client would prefer a full-time candidate although they would consider part time 4 days. This role can be hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in the office. Ideally you will have a relevant qualification e.g. ATT, CTA, ACA, ICAS or ACCA or equivalent. This role would suit someone who has strong technical knowledge and the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation. Unfortunately, this client is unable to offer visa sponsorship.
