We are working with a respected London law firm, whose Trusts & Estates team is looking to make a strategic hire at Manager level. The incoming individual will oversee a high-end portfolio of trusts and estates, taking responsibility for their related accounts, returns and associated compliance. The majority of the trusts are UK domestic, but there is also scope to get involved with offshore trusts advice.
The Manager will supervise a team of more junior trusts advisers and also have the opportunity to work with senior managers and partners on ad hoc trust planning projects. The STEP and/or ATT/ACA qualifications would be ideal but are not essential. However, strong experience of advising on, preparing and reviewing trust and estates accounts and returns is important. The successful candidate will have an excellent grasp of the UK trust taxation.
Very much a client-facing and third-party facing role, it is important that the Manager is a confident communicator with excellent client relationship management skills. Genuine scope exists to progress to Senior Manager grade in what is a supportive and sociable environment. The team is based in central London but operates hybrid working 2-3 days a week. Salary will be dependent on experience but is likely to £70k-£75k + bens and bonus.
