We're partnering with a highly regarded Top 20 firm to hire a Tax Manager into its growing London team. As a Tax Manager, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering predominantly advisory work alongside review responsibilities. This is a truly advisory-led position, with corporate tax compliance handled by the audit team and personal tax work prepared by junior staff, allowing you to focus on high-value client engagement and technical work. You will work closely with Partners and senior leadership, providing commercial tax advice while developing long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of private clients, owner-managed businesses and corporate clients
  • Delivering advisory work across areas such as CGT, IHT, EIS, R&D and structuring
  • Reviewing personal and corporate tax returns prepared by junior team members
  • Acting as a trusted adviser and key point of contact for clients
  • Supporting business development and identifying opportunities within your portfolio
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Liaising directly with Partners on complex and strategic matters

You'll be a commercially aware and technically strong tax professional who enjoys working closely with clients and delivering advisory-led solutions. Ideal experience includes:

  • CTA qualified or equivalent with strong UK tax experience
  • Experience managing client portfolios within practice
  • Strong exposure to advisory work across personal and corporate tax
  • Ability to provide practical, commercially focused advice
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior staff
