I'm partnering with a well-established multi-national private client tax practice to recruit a Private Client Tax Assistant / Semi-Senior for their London office. The Role

You’ll join a close-knit 7-person London Private Client team working across UK private clients, sports & entertainment, and some dual UK/US tax exposure.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare UK self-assessment tax returns for diverse client portfolio
  • Support with HMRC correspondence, client queries, and client coordination
  • Attend client meetings and complete meeting notes
  • Prepare basic tax calculations and estimates
  • Maintain online HMRC accounts and prepare forms for submission
  • Draft client emails and request further information for returns
  • Attend HMRC webinars and training to build technical knowledge
  • Work collaboratively with Assistant Managers, Managers, and Senior Managers

  • Professional golfers, tennis players, and cyclists
  • Actors and entertainers
  • High-net-worth individuals
  • Some dual UK/US tax clients (training provided)

What You'll Need

  • Previous experience in UK private client / personal tax (practice background preferred)
  • Studying towards or interested in studying ATT (full support provided) or qualified
  • Keen to learn, progress, and develop in a specialist private client environment
  • Comfortable working collaboratively in a sociable, professional team
  • Strong client service mindset and attention to detail

Salary & Benefits

  • £30,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
  • Full ATT study support via Tolley's (course fees, revision courses, study leave for each exam)
  • Working Pattern: Hybrid (typically 3 days in the office)

  • One core day per week where the full team is present for client meetings
