The Role
As a Partner, you will help shape the direction of the Private Client Tax offering, assist with developing the team and deliver high end personal tax advice.
Client Advisory
- Act as trusted lead adviser to a varied portfolio of HNW private clients
- Provide considered, commercially aware advice across a broad range of private client tax matters
- Oversee personal tax compliance with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail
- Manage risk in line with professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Take ownership of client relationships, including fee discussions, expectation management, and delivery of work
- Assemble and lead small, high‑performing teams tailored to client needs
Business Development & Relationships
- Develop new client relationships through referrals, introductions, and long‑term networks
- Nurture and expand an established client base through thoughtful cross‑service collaboration
- Play an active role in promoting the firm’s private client expertise in a measured and authentic way
- Contribute to client events, publications, and other profile‑raising initiatives
Practice & Team Development
- Contribute ideas regarding the ongoing development of the private client practice
- Support team resourcing, workflow, and quality standards
- Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and support to colleagues

Technical Contribution

Experience & Attributes
- Chartered Tax Adviser with significant private client tax experience
- Strong technical grounding across UK income tax, IHT and CGT issues including succession planning, the use of trusts and international (residence/domicile) advice
- Experience delivering bespoke advice to high‑net‑worth individuals and families
- Comfortable contributing to articles, presentations, and client‑facing materials
- A practical understanding of tax technology and its role in client delivery
- Advanced MS Word and PowerPoint skills
- Proven experience leading, mentoring, and developing people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a calm and confident advisory style
