An established, highly regarded accountancy practice with multiple offices across London and Essex is seeking a Mixed Tax Senior Manager to lead and expand their tax offering from their East London office.

Mixed Tax Senior Manager / Director Designate Opportunity

Working directly alongside the Client Directors, you will act as a key technical resource for the team, delivering practical tax compliance and advisory support for a varied portfolio of growing businesses and middle-market clients (turnovers up to £10M)

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver technical, high-value corporate and personal tax advisory services, including R&D, employee share schemes, EIS/SEIS, and property tax planning.
  • Serve as the main internal point of contact for complex, ad-hoc tax queries across all office locations.
  • Lead HMRC enquiry negotiations and produce clear, consultative technical reports for corporate clients.
  • Manage, review, and train junior team members and trainees.
  • Drive business development and client relationship building alongside the firm's sales team.

What We're Looking For

  • Qualifications: CTA is desirable but not essential. Candidates who are CTA studying, ACA, ACCA, or ATT qualified are also strongly considered.
  • Technical

Breadth: Strong background in Mixed Tax, though candidates with a heavy bias toward Corporate Tax looking to maintain a consultative approach are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Mindset: A consultative, relationship-first advisor who combines commercial acumen with the willingness to roll up their sleeves when needed.
  • Location: Ideally based locally in East London or Essex looking for a well-connected base (5 minutes from London Underground links and free local parking).

Package & Benefits

  • Base Salary: Up to £100,000 (commensurate with experience) + Director-level bonus/dividend opportunities.
  • Working Hours: Flexible 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (or 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a 30-min lunch). Core hours 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM with early start/finish options.
  • Hybrid Working: 3 days in office / 2 days working from home.
  • Annual Leave: 23 days basic + 1 additional day per year of service (up to 31 days).
