As international tax rules continue to evolve, one of the UK's leading Big 4 tax practices is looking to appoint an experienced Director to join its growing Global Tax team in London.

This is an opportunity to work with a broad portfolio of multinational businesses, helping them navigate complex cross-border tax issues, international expansion, business transformation and global tax reform.

You'll be joining a collaborative, ambitious team with an excellent reputation in the market and genuine opportunities to shape the future direction of the practice.

The Opportunity

As a Director, you'll act as a trusted adviser to multinational clients, leading complex advisory projects while building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.

From international structuring and operating model redesign through to transaction support and global tax governance, you'll provide practical, commercial advice on some of the market's most challenging tax issues.

Alongside client work, you'll play a key role in growing the practice through business development, mentoring future leaders and contributing to the wider strategic direction of the team.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Leading a portfolio of multinational clients, delivering strategic international tax advice across a wide range of industries.
  • Advising on cross-border structuring, legal entity rationalisations, financing arrangements, acquisitions, disposals and post-deal integration.
  • Supporting clients through changing international tax legislation, including BEPS 2.0 and other global tax developments.
  • Managing complex, multi-jurisdictional engagements, working closely with colleagues across different service lines and international offices.
  • Building and strengthening relationships with C-suite executives, in-house tax teams and key decision makers.
  • Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and supporting the team in winning new business.
  • Providing technical guidance to colleagues across the wider tax practice.
  • Coaching and developing high-performing teams, creating an inclusive and collaborative culture.
  • Maintaining exceptional standards of technical quality, governance and client service.

About You

You'll be ACA, CTA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualified with significant experience advising multinational businesses on international tax matters.

You'll also have

  • A strong background in international tax gained within a Big 4, Top 10 or leading professional services firm.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of UK corporate tax and international tax principles.
  • Experience leading complex cross-border advisory projects from inception through to delivery.
  • A commercial approach with the ability to provide pragmatic, value-adding advice to clients.
  • A proven track record of developing senior client relationships and generating new business opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing successful teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
