This is a rare opportunity to join a Top 10 firm and take a senior, visible role in a growing VAT advisory practice. You will be trusted to lead complex VAT projects, shape client outcomes, and play an active role in the strategic development of the team. This is advisory-focused work with the right balance of compliance, and the chance to build a specialist sector focus if you wish, such as real estate. There is also a real chance to get to partner in a time frame that suits you!
You will work closely with the London VAT Partner and wider VAT team, acting as a go-to adviser across a varied portfolio, delivering high-quality, practical technical advice. You will own engagements end-to-end, from scoping and delivery to billing, while collaborating with colleagues across the firm to drive cross-service opportunities and contribute to business development. You will also have the chance to shape the leadership and direction of the indirect tax team, mentoring and developing junior colleagues along the way.
This role is ideal for someone operating at Manager or Associate Director level, or an experienced Manager ready to step up. You will bring deep VAT knowledge and experience in advisory work, ideally with exposure to financial services, funds, or insurance. CTA and/or legal qualification is required, alongside strong commercial awareness, excellent client-facing skills, and the confidence to manage engagements and relationships at a senior level.
