A highly successful and rapidly growing global investment firm is looking to appoint an In‑House Employment & Global Mobility Tax Manager in a newly created position.
Hybrid working is on offer with 3 days in the London office expected.
This is a unique opportunity to join a business at an exciting stage of growth and take ownership of employment tax and global mobility matters across an international office network.
Reporting into senior leadership, you'll have the chance to shape processes, influence decision‑making and establish yourself as the go-to expert on employment tax matters across the organisation.
The role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders and a broad remit covering employment taxes, payroll tax compliance, global mobility and tax governance across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the trusted advisor to the business on employment tax, payroll tax and global mobility matters.
- Take ownership of employment tax compliance obligations across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring risks are effectively managed and requirements are met.
- Develop, implement and enhance tax governance frameworks, policies and controls to support the firm's continued international growth.
- Monitor changes in global employment tax legislation and assess the impact on the business and its workforce.
- Partner closely with HR, Finance and Payroll teams to identify and mitigate tax risks associated with international employees and cross‑border working arrangements.
- Provide practical, commercial and technically robust advice to senior stakeholders and non‑tax specialists.
- Support the firm's international mobility activities, advising on tax, social security and payroll implications.
- Drive continuous improvement across employment tax and mobility processes.
About You
- Qualified tax professional (CTA or equivalent).
- Strong employment and global mobility tax experience gained either within a professional services firm, an in‑house tax team, or a combination of both.
- Candidates already working in‑house are encouraged to apply, as are individuals who have completed a secondment and are looking to make a permanent move into industry.
- Outstanding first‑time movers directly from practice will also be considered.
- Good understanding of international employment taxes, payroll taxes and social security considerations.
- Familiarity with US employment tax matters and the practical application of double tax treaties would be advantageous.
- Ability to communicate complex tax technical issues clearly and effectively to non‑tax stakeholders.
- Commercial mindset with strong stakeholder management skills.
