Interim Head of Tax job requires an experienced UK tax focused Head of Tax for this interim tax job, located just outside London. Commencing in June and for a 12 months period, this role will take you through to the start of summer 2027. The interim Head of Tax role involves taking full ownership of all tax matters across the group, operating as the tax expert for both compliance and advisory whilst also partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this position has 2 direct reports and will involve being in the office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Lead on all direct and indirect tax matters.
  • Own tax governance, compliance and risk management, including SAO requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with HMRC, auditors, and external advisers.
  • Deliver timely tax reporting requirements.
  • Support and advise the business on the tax implications of key commercial decisions and projects.
  • Play an integral role within the wider finance team.
Qualifications
  • To be considered for this role it is imperative to have a solid background in UK tax and to have operated at a Head of Tax level involving a breadth of taxes experience.
  • You will be immediately available or very soon to be available, and able to commit to the full duration of the role.
