I am working on behalf of a leading UK accountancy and advisory firm to recruit a bright and enthusiastic Senior Manager or experienced Manager to join their Employment Taxes team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in delivering compliance and advisory services to a diverse client base while contributing to the growth of a highly respected practice.
The Role
- You will manage a portfolio of clients, provide high-quality employment tax advice, and support business development initiatives.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to build lasting client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior leadership in delivering client objectives and technical requirements within a well-established team framework.
- Provide consultancy advice on employment tax matters, including compliance reviews, IR35 assessments, due diligence, and risk management.
- Act as a senior point of contact for clients on PAYE, CIS, and National Minimum Wage issues.
- Ensure timely delivery of all client work.
- Mentor junior team members, offering technical guidance and feedback.
- Manage client budgets, invoicing, and ad hoc queries.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the employment tax practice through networking and pitches.
About You
- Professionally qualified (CTA, ATT, ACA/ACCA, STEP or equivalent) with relevant experience.
- Proven track record of delivering employment tax engagements.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Commercially minded, confident and credible at all levels.
