Your role as a Personal Tax Senior
- Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, including more complex cases.
- Prepare and review self‑assessment tax returns to a high standard.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, responding to queries confidently and professionally.
- Review work completed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback and support.
- Assist with tax planning and advisory assignments.
- Liaise with HMRC and ensure all compliance deadlines are met.
- Identify risks, issues and opportunities to add value for clients.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and technical compliance across all work.
What you'll need to succeed
- ATT qualified with a minimum of two years' post‑qualification experience.
- Strong knowledge of UK personal taxation.
- Experience managing a personal tax portfolio.
- Previous experience supporting or mentoring junior staff would be advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately calculate tax liabilities.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Confident communicator with a client‑focused approach.
- Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Good IT skills; experience with Iris software would be beneficial but is not essential.
