A Senior Manager/Associate Director is sought by a Top 20 firm in Leeds. In this key position, you will have plenty of scope for progression. This would suit a qualified corporate tax professional who can lead the tax compliance and advisory service offering to a wide range of clients with an emphasis on large and complex corporates with an international footprint and private equity backed portfolio businesses.
The primary responsibility will be to own the relationships on a portfolio of clients, with a focus on adding wider value for those businesses, developing the account teams and delivering on all assignments to a high level of quality. It is expected that this will involve responsibility for a mix of compliance and advisory projects for the portfolio of clients as well as delivering one-off project work. Another key part of the role requires the individual to actively seek, and keep the Partner informed about, any new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients.
You will provide assistance to Partners in both client work and in the management of the group with the opportunity to drive practice development in key strategic areas.
Responsibilities:- Own the relationships on a portfolio of clients and deliver their tax compliance and advisory services; regular involvement with tax planning and complex tax issues on the portfolio or on one-off projects.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge and expertise.
- Seek solutions to complex challenges with a quality mindset.
- Lead large scale or complex projects within own area of expertise.
- Respond quickly to, as well as anticipating, client requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress in relation to all aspects of the service provided, and maintaining regular contact with clients.
- Keep the relevant Partner informed about any new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients.
- Develop/maintain your own network of contacts internally and externally to support growth of the business.
- Be responsible for coaching and developing junior members of staff.
- Actively pursue and encourage knowledge sharing, consulting experts and specialists, where needed.
