The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager or Associate Director to join the Private Companies Business Tax team in London. This role focuses on advising privately owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and family offices on a wide range of tax matters. You will work with clients across sectors such as technology, media, retail, leisure, and business services, providing strategic tax advice throughout their lifecycle—from growth and international expansion to M&A and exit events.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage client engagements, delivering high-quality tax advisory and compliance services.
- Advise on complex projects including international expansion, acquisitions, IPOs, and group reorganisations.
- Coordinate input from specialists across indirect taxes, employment taxes, and incentives.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
- Contribute to business development initiatives and identify opportunities for growth.
Candidate Profile
- ACA/CTA qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience in UK corporate tax.
- Background in compliance, advisory, or transactions within a professional services environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage complex tax projects.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Commercially astute with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
