A well-established and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants is looking to recruit a Senior Tax Consultant to join its growing tax team in Brierley Hill.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with experience in personal tax compliance and advisory work to join a friendly and supportive practice offering a varied client portfolio, ongoing professional development and genuine long-term career prospects.
Responsibilities
- Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
- Preparing and submitting Self Assessment tax returns.
- Preparing Trust Tax Returns and R185s.
- Completing Residential Property Returns and P11Ds.
- Handling a wide range of personal tax queries, including PAYE, NIC, Capital Taxes and Inheritance Tax matters.
- Assisting with tax planning projects and advisory assignments.
- Providing residency advice, including Statutory Residence Test guidance and Certificates of Residence.
- Liaising directly with individuals, trustees, companies and HMRC.
- Preparing tax calculations and remuneration comparisons for limited companies and individuals.
- Supporting with accounts preparation where required (beneficial but not essential).
Requirements
- At least 2 years' experience within the tax department of a UK accountancy practice.
- Strong experience in Personal Tax compliance.
- Knowledge of Trust Tax, P11Ds and tax advisory work.
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and client portfolio.
- Experience with accounts preparation would be advantageous but is not essential.
