Are you a Corporate Tax professional who wants more influence, better clients, and a genuine voice in a growing regional practice? Do you enjoy advisory-led work but still value technical depth and high standards? Are you looking for a firm investing heavily in Birmingham rather than just maintaining headcount? If so, this could be worth a conversation.
What’s great about this Corporate Tax Senior Manager role?
- A genuinely growing Birmingham tax practice with strong Partner backing and clear investment plans
- A broad, high-quality client base spanning OMB's, PE-backed businesses, and large corporates
- A role with real autonomy - trusted to lead, advise, and shape client relationships
- Clear progression to Director, with no artificial blockers
This firm describes itself as collaborative, commercially minded, and people-focused. Birmingham is a strategic growth hub, not a satellite office - and senior hires are central to that strategy.
What this firm offers you:
- Advisory focus with meaningful, complex projects
- Close working relationships with Partners who value ideas and initiative
- A culture that supports flexibility, balance, and long-term careers
- Strong reward package including bonus and flexible benefits
This is a place where senior tax professionals are encouraged to build something - not just manage compliance.
Your role as Corporate Tax Senior Manager:
You’ll sit at the heart of the Birmingham tax team, supporting complex advisory and higher-risk compliance work, acting as a trusted adviser to clients and a mentor to the team. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating with Partners, other service lines, and clients, influencing strategy, spotting opportunities, and helping shape the future of the regional tax offering. The higher purpose? To help grow a high-performing Corporate Tax practice in Birmingham - and to be recognised as a key figure in that journey.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Strong Corporate Tax experience across advisory and complex compliance
- Confidence working with mid-market to large corporate clients
- Commercial mindset with the ability to spot and develop opportunities
- Leadership skills - someone people want to work with and learn from
- Ambition, but without ego
Qualifications (ACA / CTA or equivalent) are important - but attitude, credibility, and relationship skills matter just as much.
