Role Overview
The Head of Financial Services Reporting will lead and scale Tax Desk’s financial services (FS) reporting business line, with a primary focus on CESOP and adjacent regulatory reporting solutions for payment service providers, banks, and regulated institutions.
This is a commercial and operational leadership role , responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding partnerships, shaping product direction, and building a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and Scale the Financial Services Business
- Own the P&L for the FS reporting division (CESOP and adjacent services)
- Define and execute the strategic roadmap for financial services clients
- Establish Tax Desk as a leading provider of multi-jurisdictional reporting for PSPs
2. Partner & Client Leadership
- Build and manage senior relationships with key clients (banks, PSPs, EMIs)
- Oversee delivery quality and client satisfaction across all FS reporting engagements
- Develop and scale strategic partnerships (e.g. payment providers, software platforms, consultancies)
- Expand white-label and embedded reporting solutions
3. Business Development
- Lead acquisition of new FS clients across Europe and globally
- Drive pipeline generation through partnerships, direct sales, and thought leadership
- Identify and win high-value, multi-country reporting mandates
- Represent Tax Desk in industry forums and regulatory discussions
4. Product & Proposition Development
- Shape the evolution of Tax Desk’s FS reporting platform (e.g. CESOP, local reporting regimes)
- Translate regulatory requirements into scalable, technology-enabled solutions
- Work closely with product and engineering teams to enhance automation, reporting accuracy, and client experience
- Identify adjacent opportunities (e.g. transaction reporting, local financial reporting regimes, data services)
5. Geographic & Service Expansion
- Lead expansion of FS reporting into new jurisdictions and regulatory frameworks
- Develop go-to-market strategies for new reporting regimes (e.g. country-specific financial reporting requirements)
- Ensure scalability of delivery across all EU member states and beyond
6. Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team across client delivery, operations, and technical reporting
- Recruit key hires across compliance, product, and commercial functions
- Foster a culture of accountability, client excellence, and continuous improvement
Experience & Skills Required
Core Experience
- 8+ years in financial services, regulatory reporting, or indirect tax / compliance
- Ideally have knowledge of payment services, PSP regulation, and reporting frameworks (e.g. CESOP)
- Proven track record in building and scaling a business line or product offering
- Strong commercial experience (sales, partnerships, revenue ownership)
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Understanding of cross-border transaction reporting and regulatory data requirements
- Ideally have familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks impacting payment institutions
- Experience working with multi-country compliance or reporting environments
Leadership & Commercial Skills
- Demonstrated ability to win and grow enterprise clients
- Ideally a strong partner network across financial services or fintech ecosystem
- Ideally experience leading multidisciplinary teams (commercial, product, operations)
- Strategic thinker with hands-on execution capability
