We are recruiting for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join an established engineering and fabrication company based in Ivybridge. The role will involve welding, fabricating and assembling a variety of metal components while working accurately from technical drawings and specifications.
Duties:
- MIG welding and general fabrication
- Working from engineering and technical drawings
- Cutting, shaping and preparing materials
- Fabricating and assembling metal components
- Using hand tools, power tools and workshop equipment
- Assembling fabricated parts into finished products and structures
- Checking completed work to ensure a high standard of quality
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Previous MIG welding and fabrication experience
- Confident working from technical drawings
- Good general fabrication skills
- Experience using workshop tools and machinery
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable and able to work independently or as part of a team
- TIG or other welding experience would be advantageous but is not essential
