We are recruiting new team members to join Taurus Security Group and become Security Officers in the Crewe area. The main responsibilities are to ensure only permitted people are allowed on site, deal with anti-social behaviour issues and patrol the site. We ask our team members to promote a culture of safety and security by being a reassuring presence, offering help and guidance and dealing with any out-of-course events.
Due to recently won contracts we are offering roles on an immediate start basis, subject to internal checks and the recruitment process. This role is challenging, requires vigilance and great customer service, however, for the right candidate it will be rewarding.
Who we are looking for:
- Excellent customer service, honest, enthusiastic, and hard working
- Right-to-work documentation
- Security guard or higher SIA license
- Must have a full five-year work history without gaps (failure to have this means your application will not be processed)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Smart, well-groomed, and confident disposition
- Ability to work under pressure
Duties & Responsibilities:
- To arrive on time, punctuality is very important and integral to the maintenance of the contract
- To arrive at the site smartly dressed and ready to commence the shift
- Wear the appropriate uniform (including SIA badge) and safety clothing as supplied, ensuring that your standard of appearance is high and complies with the company standard
- To ensure the correct people are entering the site by manning the front gate
- Ensure an excellent level of customer service is delivered, respond positively to visitors and questions and be conscious of all visitors to the location.
- Carry out regular patrols of the location to ensure the health & safety of all customers in the company vehicle
- Report faults, health & safety issues, and escalated complaints to the control room
- Complete relevant handwritten and electronic logs as required
- Following management instructions either written or verbal
