Taurus Risk Management is a directly FCA-regulated insurance brokerage based in the City of London. We work with UK businesses and private clients to implement effective insurance strategies that ensure key risks are properly protected at the right price. Our approach focuses on practical solutions that meet each client's specific requirements.

This is a full-time hybrid role based in the London area, with some flexibility to work from home. Taurus is a growing brokerage entering its next phase of growth, with a clear focus on winning and servicing mid-size to large commercial accounts. The Senior Account Executive will play a central role in that journey, taking ownership of a portfolio of clients predominantly across UK real estate, hospitality, and leisure. This is a genuine broking role that blends client ownership with new business production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of mid-size to large commercial accounts, predominantly across real estate, hospitality, and leisure.
  • Act as the lead point of contact for your clients, building trusted relationships at senior and board level.
  • Lead renewal strategy, market negotiations, and programme placement for complex and multi-policy accounts.
  • Generate and convert your own new business leads, building a pipeline within your target sectors.
  • Support wider new business initiatives, including campaigns, cross-selling, and prospect presentations.
  • Work closely with directors to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Prepare and present renewal reports, market summaries, and client presentations to a high standard.
  • Ensure all client work complies with FCA regulations and internal company procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5+ years' experience in commercial insurance broking, ideally in an account executive or senior account handling capacity.
  • Proven experience managing mid-size to large commercial clients, with exposure to real estate, property owners, hospitality, or leisure risks a strong advantage.
  • A track record of, or clear appetite for, producing new business and building your own client base.
  • Strong insurer market relationships and confident negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, comfortable engaging at director level.
  • Able to work from our City of London office on a hybrid basis.

We're a growing, forward-thinking brokerage entering an exciting phase of expansion, with ambitions to compete for and win larger accounts. Joining now means real influence over how the firm grows, direct access to decision-makers, and the chance to build something rather than inherit it. We offer a competitive salary plus bonus that rewards new business production, in a professional yet friendly team. If you're an experienced broking professional who enjoys owning client relationships, thrives on winning new business, and wants your work to visibly shape a firm's growth, we'd love to hear from you.
