We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a passionate and dedicated EAL teacher to join our thriving Prep School community. The role supports pupils for whom English is an additional language through high‑quality 1:1 and small group interventions, building confidence, language proficiency, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individualised 1:1 and small group language support to pupils.
  • Design and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons that meet diverse learning needs.
  • Create a safe, happy and inclusive environment in which every child can flourish.
  • Support the academic progress and personal development of each pupil, fostering a positive learning culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience teaching or working with pupils whose first language is not English.
  • Strong understanding of how to meet individual learning needs and demonstrate empathy when working with young children.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, positive "can‑do" attitude.
  • Commitment to supporting both academic progress and personal development of each pupil.
  • Full commitment to safeguarding and child protection practices.

Working Conditions

  • Permanent, part‑time (0.4–0.5 FTE)
  • Paid according to support staff rates, not on the teaching pay spine
  • Start date September 2026, with January 2027 considered
