Opportunity for a Fabricator / Welder with hands‑on manufacturing experience.
Day Shift: Hours of work 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday - Friday (with a 30 minute unpaid lunch each day) with a 3.30pm finish on a Friday.
Responsibilities
- Perform high‑quality MIG welding on assemblies, typically working with mild steel, 3mm – 20mm.
- Read and accurately interpret technical drawings, specification sheets, and weld symbols.
- Carry out precision measurements and accurately mark out materials for cutting and fabrication.
- Select the correct materials and be skilled in cutting materials using methods such as burning, disc cutting, or machine cutting.
- Utilise hand tools for assembly preparation and finishing.
- Maintain safety, adhere strictly to health and safety rules and regulations, and maintain excellent production area housekeeping.
- Work effectively, either individually or as part of a team, to meet demanding production targets and output quality.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven hands‑on manufacturing experience, ideally in commercial vehicle bodywork or trailer manufacturing.
- Demonstrable experience performing high‑quality MIG welding and assembly.
- Proficiency in reading and working from technical drawings.
