The predicted salary is between 22 - 22 £ per hour.

Certain Advantage is hiring for x5 supply chain planners based in Peterborough on a 6-month contract basis.

For the initial training period (approx. 3 weeks) candidates will be working onsite 5 days per week. After that this will become a hybrid role (3 days per week onsite).

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Planning and maintaining daily Supply Chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management or order fulfilment.
  • Ensuring internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.
  • Using common processes, tools, and information systems.
  • Analysing and interpreting Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
  • Executing the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
  • Identifying potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigating associated risks.
  • Working closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.
  • Using the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
  • Participating in functional process improvement teams.

The individual:

  • Experience with ERP or MRP systems is essential.
  • Previous supplier management experience is required.
  • Experience with SAP would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience within a manufacturing supply chain environment would be highly beneficial; however, experience in the automotive sector is not required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills are required.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical abilities are essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Full training will be provided on Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems and Master Production Scheduling (MPS) systems.
