The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced RAMS Engineer to join a global team of subject matter experts. This position focuses on high-voltage electrical equipment, specifically within HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) systems.
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating, creating, verifying, and validating reliability, availability, and maintainability (RAM) models for HVDC systems and subsystems. You will manage project risks throughout the lifecycle, enforce engineering discipline, drive quality processes, and provide technical leadership and training to both customers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- RAM Studies & Strategy
- Conduct RAMS studies for HVDC projects and tenders, covering both LCC and VSC technologies.
- Define spare part requirements and maintenance strategies.
- Establish and monitor RAMS study structures, processes, and performance indicators.
- Track and report status updates to RAMS management and present performance dashboards in cross-functional gate reviews.
- Chair 3D Model Reviews with a specific focus on maintainability.
- Lead engagement with OEMs, manage interface control documents, and oversee logistics interfaces.
- Direct maintainability deliverables and coordinate with consultants.
- Facilitate RAMS workshops and ensure the timely closure of action items.
- Health & Safety
- Actively promote the identification of hazards and EHS risks within your area of operation and design objects.
- Provide actionable insights to leadership, clients, and colleagues regarding safety, system integrity, and product standards.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or an equivalent field) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Proven, substantial practical experience performing RAMS engineering within complex industrial environments.

- Experience with the RAMS ‘V’ cycle.
