We are seeking a highly experienced Deputy Legal Cashier to join their finance team. This is a key role supporting the smooth operation of the cashiering function, ensuring full compliance with Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules, and deputising for the Senior/Head Legal Cashier when required.
Key Responsibilities:- Deputise for the Senior/Head Legal Cashier during periods of absence, ensuring continuity of service, oversight, and compliance.
- Provide guidance, support, and informal supervision to junior cashiering staff.
- Assist with workload allocation and prioritisation within the cashiering team to ensure efficiency and deadlines are met.
- Review and sign off transactions where appropriate, ensuring adherence to internal controls and procedures.
- Support the training and onboarding of new team members within the cashiering function.
- Escalate any compliance issues, risks, or discrepancies to senior management in a timely and appropriate manner.
- Support the day-to-day operations of the legal cashiering function, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure full compliance with the Law Society of Scotland Accounts Rules.
