Certain Advantage is hiring for a Lead FEM Engineer based in the Filton area. This role is on a contract basis and is hybrid-based.
The Company: We’re working with a Manufacturing business that operates in the Aerospace sector. They design, manufacture and deliver industry-leading commercial aircraft, and a separate Space and Defence division.
The Role: This role is for a Lead FEM Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed. You’ll be working in a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:
- Support the development of GFEM and DFEM projects across all Programmes
- Analyse and Validate FE and Stress data
- Deliver digital solutions to optimise Wing structure enablement processes
The Individual: We’re looking for people who can show:
- Educated to degree level in Aerospace Engineering
- Knowledge and experience with FEM tools, i.e. Hyperwork, Hypermesh and MSC Nastran
- Experience with the idealisation of Wing component structure with Finite Element Methodology
- ISAMI competent user is an advantage
- FEM Signature delegation is an added advantage
- Knowledge and experience with UNIX-based platforms is an advantage
