World Class Defence Organisation based in Bolton is currently looking to recruit a Night Shift General Maintenance Operator on an initial 12 month contract and then ongoing and long-term thereafter.

Contract Duration: 12 Months (initially and then ongoing thereafter)

Hourly Rate: £39.50ph

We are looking for a reliable and proactive General Maintenance Operator to join our team and support the Calibration and Maintenance department in ensuring the facility and equipment remain safe, compliant, and operational.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Calibration & Maintenance department with general maintenance activities across the facility.
  • Carry out routine facility compliance activities including:
    • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) testing throughout the facility
    • Electrical Safety Testing of equipment and portable appliances
    • LEV (Local Exhaust Ventilation) filter changes and associated maintenance tasks
  • Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities and respond to general maintenance requirements as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all documentation and paperwork are completed correctly and on time.

Development & Progression:

This role offers opportunities for progression within the Calibration & Maintenance department. Training and development will be provided to support the successful candidate in developing skills and experience in:

  • Mechanical calibration
  • Electrical calibration
  • Use of test equipment

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous maintenance experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to follow procedures and complete documentation accurately.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills and develop technically.
