The Tate Modern Exhibitions Registrar team is responsible for the management and coordination of loaned artworks across temporary exhibitions, displays, international tours, live performances and co‑created exhibitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate loan arrangements with external partners.
- Arrange government indemnity and commercial fine‑art insurance.
- Oversee international fine‑art transportation and museum storage standards.
- Negotiate loans and related contracts.
- Support installation and deinstallation processes.
- Maintain budgets, IT systems and databases.
- Provide innovative, low‑carbon transport solutions.
- Work under pressure and tight deadlines.
Qualifications
- Substantial experience in temporary exhibitions within a gallery, museum or similar environment.
- Experience arranging government indemnity and commercial fine‑art insurance.
- Extensive knowledge of international fine‑art transport, museum standards, and loan contract negotiation.
- Excellent organisational, communication and diplomatic skills.
- Strong IT and database skills.
- Ability to work independently, under pressure and within tight deadlines.
