Working hours: Wednesdays & Fridays - 10:40 AM - 5:10 PM

We are seeking a dependable and empathetic Support Worker to assist a current gallery team member with visual impairment in their role as a Gallery Assistant. This is a unique opportunity to support someone in a creative, public-facing environment while contributing to the smooth running of a contemporary art space.
About the Role:
You will provide one-to-one support to a staff member with day-to-day tasks involved in their role as a Gallery Assistant. Your support will help them thrive in their position and engage confidently with the public and gallery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with interaction and communication with members of the public
- Supporting the operation of the gallery shop till
- Taking notes during meetings or tasks as needed
- Helping the supported staff member stay organised and on task
- Encouraging independence and confidence in the workplace
Requirements:
- Experience in a support or care role for someone who is visually impaired
- A patient, respectful, and proactive approach to working with people
- Face to face customer service experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to the scheduled hours
