My client, a respected manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes, is seeking a reliable and versatile Maintenance Person to join their team. This role would suit a former school caretaker, someone from hotel/facilities maintenance, or an experienced trades person seeking more security, routine, and work-life balance.

You will be responsible for the general maintenance and upkeep of the factory, office spaces, equipment, and grounds. The ideal person enjoys being the "go‑to" problem-solver and can communicate confidently with colleagues at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repairs & Maintenance: Carry out planned and reactive tasks across buildings, machinery, equipment, and grounds.

  • Electrical: Minor electrical duties only - most electrical work is handled by qualified tradespeople.
  • Carpentry: Basic repairs to doors, cabinets, shelves, and flooring.
  • Decorating & Cosmetic Upkeep: Painting internal and external walls, painting skirting boards, replacing carpet tiles, general touch-ups to keep the site looking presentable.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Basic upkeep including planting bulbs and light garden maintenance.
  • Machinery: Support minor repairs and maintenance.
  • Health & Safety: Conduct routine checks, identify hazards, and promote a safe working environment.
  • Record Keeping: Log completed tasks and materials used, escalating issues where needed.
