We are hiring a Technical Architect to take a strategic lead in shaping the future of technology for a global marine energy innovator. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the CTO, focused on creating a cohesive architecture that supports business growth and operational excellence.
You will assess the current technology landscape across trading systems, finance, and middle office, identify gaps, and design a roadmap to leave legacy systems behind and build a modern, integrated ecosystem. This is not a hands-on coding role - it’s about vision, strategy, and influence. You will guide the mapping and research phase, evaluate pricing and trading systems, and make informed recommendations that transform how we operate. We need someone who can bridge the gap between technology and business.
What you’ll do:
- Define and lead the Information Systems architecture strategy
- Assess current systems and design future-state architecture
- Drive integration, resilience, and compliance across platforms
- Champion innovation and modernisation
What you’ll bring:
- Proven expertise in technical architecture within trading, finance, or commodity sectors.
- Broad business exposure - experience working across the entire organisation rather than within a single silo (essential).
- Track record of building an architectural practice from the ground up.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred).
- Influential leadership skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and balance competing priorities.
- Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Desirable: Experience with OutSystems, Orbus Infinity, or iServer.
This is an amazing opportunity to join a global leader in marine energy and make a lasting impact on the future of sustainable technology. If you’re ready to lead, innovate, and shape architecture at scale, we’d love to hear from you!
