The predicted salary is between 25000 - 30000 £ per year.
If you’re a photographer beginning your career and have the ability to think on your feet, follow processes and work collaboratively with others in a specialist environment we’d love to hear from you! This role presents an opportunity to develop your photographic practice whilst working with an exciting range of subjects in a truly unique environment, learning about the principles of cultural heritage photography and best practice in Collections management. You will be guided to improve technical skills and encouraged to explore your own creativity.
Responsibilities
- Photograph works on paper and negatives, and assist Photographers with photography of more complex artworks and conservation imaging.
- Record gallery spaces and art on display outside the studio, alongside portraiture, editorial and events shoots.
- Take ownership of your photography from capture to upload, ensuring images are delivered to a high standard and within agreed deadlines.
- Work across Tate’s four galleries and our art store, as well as at external locations when required.
Qualifications
- Recognised qualification or equivalent experience demonstrating practical and professional photographic skills.
- Confident using high-end digital cameras, artificial lighting, editing software, and knowledge of appropriate file formats.
- Sound technical understanding of photography with a willingness to apply best practices in an arts and heritage environment.
Contract
