The predicted salary is between 22.5 - 27.5 Β£ per hour.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Community Engagement Manager to lead and develop resident and community engagement services, ensuring that local voices are heard and reflected in service delivery and decision-making. The successful candidate will lead the development, implementation and review of the Tenant and Leaseholder Engagement Strategy, increasing resident involvement in the design, management and improvement of housing services. You will be responsible for driving strategic engagement initiatives, managing a high-performing team, and building strong partnerships across public, voluntary and private sector organisations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and delivery of the Tenant and Leaseholder Engagement Strategy.
  • Drive resident and community engagement initiatives across the city.
  • Manage and develop a team of Engagement Officers.
  • Lead service improvements, engagement projects and consultation activities.
  • Increase participation from diverse and underrepresented communities.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant housing legislation and engagement requirements.
  • Deputise for the Head of Service when required.

Essential Requirements:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of community engagement, resident involvement and volunteering.
  • Strong understanding of housing legislation and best practice.
  • Experience of leading teams and delivering service improvements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and partnership-building skills.
  • Commitment to equality, inclusion and community development.
