We are seeking an organised and proactive Events Specialist to join our clients hugely successful Marketing team. This new role will support the delivery of high-impact events across the UK, working closely with the Sales and Product teams to engage university and commercial audiences. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Services, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating and executing events that enhance brand presence and support lead generation.

You will be working with stakeholders and other Marketing team members to book space and transport, prepare packs, manage merchandise, create exhibition graphics, and support the events with data management.

This role will also include a small number of in-person events each year delivering first class in-person experiences.

Event Specialist responsibilities include:

  • Plan and deliver on-site and virtual events including university visits, trade shows, product demonstrations, seminars and roadshows
  • Coordinate all event logistics, including venue bookings, materials, equipment, and travel arrangements
  • Work closely with UK Sales and Product teams to tailor event content and objectives
  • Manage event communications and promotional materials in collaboration with Marketing
  • Track event performance, gather feedback, and support post-event follow-up activities
  • Manage event budgets and timelines
  • Build strong relationships with academic institutions, suppliers, and event organisers
  • Develop success metrics and report to senior management team on results through CRM input and management
  • Recommend plans for improvement and development of the programme for increased success.

About You:

  • Proven experience in organising and delivering B2B or academic events
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects
  • Willing to travel across the UK (up to 10%) Clean driving licence
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office and a CRM package like Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce
