Location: London
Salary: Up to £70,000 DOE + excellent benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with a well-known legal firm in London. Our client is seeking an experienced Bid Manager with 5+ years of managing the tender/bid process within professional services, ideally legal. Prior line management or mentoring/training experience is essential.
Role Overview:
As Bid Manager, you will support the firm in winning new business opportunities for legal teams, collaborating with colleagues to develop compelling content. You will report to the Head of Business Development and work within a hybrid model (office-based and remote).
Bid Manager main duties & responsibilities:
- Identify and circulate potential opportunities across practice areas.
- Lead the full bid process: from opportunity identification to submission and feedback.
- Draft non-technical responses using existing collateral.
- Manage input from internal stakeholders, including partners and business support teams.
- Ensure quality submissions that fully address evaluation criteria.
- Design presentations and prepare staff for interviews.
- Produce tender analysis and report on client feedback.
- Manage direct report(s), mentoring and developing their skills.
- Maintain a library of precedent text and file final submissions.
Bid Manager key skills & experience:
- 5+ years of experience in the tender/bid process, ideally within legal services.
- Line management or mentoring experience.
- Experience in public sector tendering and knowledge of relevant portals.
- Strong communication, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple bids and work under pressure.
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage confidential information.
