This is an exciting opportunity to join our Registrars team! As Collection Registrar (Acquisitions and Long Loans) you will be part of the Collection Management team and involved in the acquisitions and long loans process. You will spend varied days co-ordinating and documenting the movement and acquisition of artworks from our collections, prioritising their care.

Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and document the movement and acquisition of artworks from the collections;
  • Manage acquisitions and long loans;
  • Prioritise care of objects.

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Significant registrar experience with a museum collection, including working to national and international museum standards for transportation, packing, handling and environmental requirements.
  • Good knowledge of customs and insurance processes and procedures.
  • Project management, organisation and planning skills; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively at all levels, internally and with external contacts.
