Interim Quality Director (Up to 6 Months)

We are seeking an experienced Interim Quality Director to provide senior leadership across quality assurance, governance and risk during a critical period for the organisation. This is a high-impact, delivery-focused role requiring someone who can rapidly assess risk, strengthen frameworks, and operate with confidence at Executive and Board level.
Key priorities will include:
- Developing and embedding a robust quality assurance and oversight framework
- Triangulating safety, patient/service user experience and outcomes data to provide a clear assessment of the organisational risk profile
- Working in partnership with the Quality Improvement team to establish effective learning and improvement frameworks
- Supporting the organisation’s regulatory oversight and external partnership relationships
- Driving progress against OTIP delivery priorities
- Reviewing the organisation’s risk strategy and providing expert advice on Board-level risk appetite
Candidate profile:
- Significant senior leadership experience in quality, governance or assurance within a regulated healthcare environment
- Ideally currently operating (or recently operated) as a Quality Director / Director of Quality role within another NHS Trust
- Proven ability to operate confidently at Board and system level
- Strong analytical capability, with experience triangulating data to assess and articulate organisational risk
- Comfortable working at pace and delivering impact in a short-term interim assignment
- Experience supporting regulatory engagement and oversight
