Location: Largely remote but UK travel required

Do you have knowledge of Geotechnical Testing experience? Due to continued growth, I am excited to present an opportunity to join my client, a leading environmental company who are on the lookout for a Business Development Manager. This is a niche role and as such a knowledge of Geotechnical and/or materials testing is essential for successful candidacy for this role.

Key duties:

  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities in the geotechnical sector through market research, networking, and prospecting.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored client solutions.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts across environmental and site services divisions.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to senior leadership.

Essential:

  • Strong technical knowledge of the geotechnical and/or Construction Materials testing Market services – ideally within a sales or business development-based role.
  • Strong relationship-building and account management skills.
  • Ability to translate technical expertise into commercial success.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Full UK Driving License.
