Job Description

HR Advisor with Office Manager duties

On-site – 5 days per week

Acton – NW10

My client an exciting and fast-growing events company based in West London, Acton is seeking an HR Advisor with Office Manager duties, paying up to £42,000 plus benefits, to support their ambitious team.

While this is a HR role it does have some operational support duties included, 60% of the job will be HR focused. You will be supporting the current team with all of the HR duties for the organisation, so a CIPD qualification or HR experience with UK employment law knowledge is advantageous.

Please note: this role is based 5 days in the office and the working hours are 10-6pm.

Duties include the following:

HR/ People related tasks:

  • Onboarding new staff
  • Drawing up employee contracts
  • Dealing with staff concerns and escalating to management where needed
  • Managing and maintaining staff records including, sickness, maternity, annual leave etc
  • Conducting disciplinary meetings where needed
  • Managing recruitment for the firm

Office Manager/ Operational tasks:

  • Planning and managing staff social events
  • Coordinating maintenance and office repairs
  • Liaising with vendors and suppliers
  • Assisting with Health and Safety for the office

The ideal candidate will be people focused and enjoying being that go to person for the office. You will have a background in HR, and experience being the sole person with HR knowledge for the team. You will have confidence in managing minor employee relations issues as well as disciplinaries, while also looking to bring the team together with regular exciting socials and events etc. this is a very varied role, changing between office management and HR, so someone who can juggle tasks as well as prioritise is a real must.
