Tate is working with a well‑established manufacturing business in Hitchin that is seeking an accomplished HR Advisor (CIPD Level 3 minimum) to provide additional support during a period of increased workload. This is a six‑month temporary assignment offering immediate start, weekly pay, and the chance to visit the site and meet the client before committing to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR function with both administrative and advisory tasks, including:
- Absence & Timekeeping
- Managing the absence spreadsheet and updating records
- Supporting absence management processes, including associates absent over 4 weeks
- Producing file notes and assisting with disciplinary cases
- Supporting managers with poor timekeeping issues
- Coordinating annual health surveillance scheduling
- Updating databases following OH assessments
- Uploading management referrals to a OH platform
- Liaising with their Occ Health Provider and managing OHN diary appointments
- Updating Workday and ADP (shift pattern changes, password resets, RFID changes)
- Managing the HR Hitchin inbox and responding to queries
- Monthly visa checks
- Issuing All Hands registers
- Supporting managers with grievances and investigations
- Providing accurate HR guidance in line with company policies
- Maintaining accurate records
- Supporting HR projects and workload peaks
- Ensuring all documentation is handled confidentially
What We’re Looking For:
- HR advisory confidence and experience
- Manufacturing industry background (preferably)
- Confident, organised and comfortable working onsite in a busy HR environment
- Proactive, detail‑oriented and able to manage competing priorities
- Experience of WorkDay, or similar software and confidence with Excel
