Our client, one of the world's largest life and health reinsurance companies, is looking for an HR Shared Services Specialist to join their team for a 3-month contract.
The Share Services Specialist will play an important role in the HR Shared Services Center to deliver the HR operational activities in the EMEA region with an emphasis on efficiency, accuracy, quality, and compliance. You will also participate in our efforts to execute our continuous improvement strategy in the region, including the deployment of automation capabilities across the HR function.
What you will do:
- Professional delivery and flawless execution of HR transactions throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Manage a variety of HR processes in accordance/compliance with country policies and local regulations for the assigned geography.
- Work hours will reflect remote support for the assigned markets via Microsoft Teams to service client area.
- Ensure the highest quality of employee data in our HR systems.
- Develop, follow and maintain Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare and handle HR documentation, including the preparation of employment contracts, addendums, employment verifications and certifications.
- Manage and coordinate employee inquiries. Work together with HRBPs and COEs to resolve complex queries and propose solutions.
- Guide employees and managers in using Workday and other HR systems facilitating technology adoption.
- Maintain a mindset towards continuous improvement, with employee experience in focus. Support activities to simplify and standardize HR processes.
- Other duties as requested by the HR Shared Services Lead or the Director, HR Business Partner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Human Resources, Business Administration or Management or in related field required.
- 3+ Years of experience in the Human Resources function required, preferably delivering services in shared service center environment in Financial Services.
- Experience with Workday HCM required.
- Fluent in English required, other European languages beneficial.
- Understands the importance of accuracy with high attention to detail required.
- Experience with and solid proficiency in HR processes throughout the employee life cycle and related standard operating procedures required.
- Passion for delivering a great employee experience required.
- Strong knowledge of local labor laws required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English required.
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality required.
- Highly organized, with demonstrated time management and ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment required.
- Experience with continuous improvement, with demonstrated ability to identify needs, investigate options, seek solutions and partner to resolve issues required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight required.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels required.
