This is a rare opportunity for an experienced clinician with a passion for neurodiversity to build and lead a Neurodiversity Workplace Assessment Service within an established Occupational Health environment, while also providing clinical leadership and governance support.
About the role
The role combines two core elements:
- Service development & innovation (2–3 days per week) — designing and embedding a new neurodiversity workplace assessment service
- Clinical leadership & governance (1–2 days per week) — supporting the Registered Manager with CQC compliance, quality oversight, and clinical supervision
You’ll act as the organisation’s clinical SME for neurodiversity, influencing best practice, supporting colleagues, and helping organisations better understand and support neurodivergent employees.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing clinical pathways, assessment models, and practical workplace adjustment recommendations
- Shaping how neurodiversity assessments are delivered (virtual, on‑site, hybrid)
- Providing specialist advice to clinicians, OH teams, and clients
- Supporting governance activity including audits, inspections, and quality improvement
- Coaching and supervising clinicians and contributing to a culture of safe, reflective practice
- Building relationships internally and externally to support service growth
You’ll be supported by an established OH service, a Registered Manager, and wider operational and governance teams, with protected time to focus on service development.
About you
We’re keen to hear from clinicians who bring:
- A relevant clinical qualification (HCPC / NMC registered or equivalent)
- Strong experience working with neurodivergent individuals
- A solid understanding of functional impact and reasonable adjustments
- Confidence to influence, guide, and develop practice
- An interest in service development, even if you haven’t led one end‑to‑end before
- Experience in OH, workplace assessments, or service start‑up is helpful but not essential.
