Accommodation Sourcing Manager (Interim/Contract)

Are you an expert in sourcing accommodation for government contracts?
Weβre looking for a highly experienced Accommodation Sourcing Manager (also known as Property Acquisition Manager or similar) to support a major public sector accommodation and service project.
About the Role
This is a temporary assignment with a critical impact. Youβll provide specialist insight into the asylum accommodation sector, helping our client shape a competitive, compliant, and innovative proposal for a major public sector accommodation and service project.
Must-Have Experience
- Proven track record sourcing/procuring accommodation for:
- Government contracts (e.g. asylum, post-prison housing)
- Home Office or Ministry of Justice frameworks
- Deep understanding of frameworks like AASC, or similar
- Strong knowledge of HMO licensing, planning regulations, and property compliance
- Familiarity with Home Office/MOJ accommodation standards and delivery models
Key Responsibilities
- Act as subject matter expert on asylum accommodation provision
- Advise on acquisition strategies (block leasing, housing associations, landlord incentives)
- Provide market intelligence on rental trends and regional housing availability
- Interpret public sector accommodation and tender documentation and advise on pricing, risk, and mobilisation
- Draft/review technical responses for the bid team
- Identify innovative solutions for void risk, compliance, and service user integration
- Liaise with legal and compliance teams to ensure regulatory alignment
- Benchmark cost-per-bed, void costs, and acquisition timelines
- Attend bid meetings and Home Office engagement events
- Hourly Rate: up to Β£35.00 DOE
- Hours: 37.5 per week
- Location: Remote (UK-based)
