About the Role
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving growth across the UK and Ireland region within the food, beverage, and health markets. You will be responsible for managing and developing customer relationships and distribution partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering commercial success through a consultative and solution-oriented approach. Working closely with the Regional Sales Director and cross-functional teams including Technical, Innovation, Marketing, Finance, Quality, and Customer Service, you will help customers meet their business objectives while contributing to Tate & Lyle's growth ambitions. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of customers and distributor partners in the UK and Ireland.
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for commercial activities.
- Manage business and enable growth with our distribution partner.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Execute regional sales strategies and contribute to achieving revenue and profitability targets.
- Understand customer needs and provide ingredient solutions that create value and differentiate Tate & Lyle in the marketplace.
- Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and site visits.
- Prepare account plans, sales forecasts, customer presentations, and commercial reports.
- Monitor sales performance, customer orders, and project pipelines to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Work closely with Technical, Innovation, Marketing, Finance, Customer Service, and Quality teams to deliver outstanding customer solutions.
- Keep informed of market trends, competitive developments, and emerging opportunities within the food and beverage industry.
- Support the development and implementation of growth strategies for the Benelux market.
What We're Looking For
- Essential Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Business, Commercial Economics, Technical Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably within food ingredients, nutrition, specialty ingredients, or a related sector.
- Proven track record of achieving commercial growth and managing key customer and distribution relationships.
- Experience working closely with Technical, Innovation, Marketing, or Quality teams.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and the broader Microsoft 365 suite.
- Fluent English.
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.
