Warehouse Coordinator – Tate & Lyle Sugars
Overview
Responsible for checking, receiving, putting away goods and materials from vendors and accurately managing the storage & movements at Thames Refinery.
Responsibilities
- Maintain highest standards of safety, quality, hygiene and environmental compliance.
- Receive, inspect, and store goods and materials in correct locations (MRO & Materials).
- Enter goods receipts, issues and stock transfers into the SAP system.
- Conduct physical inventory counts, investigate stock variances, and report findings.
- Administer equipment collection for repair and coordinate local vendor deliveries.
- Ensure timely loading and unloading of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Optimize weekly delivery schedule with Materials Management for efficient vehicle use.
- Complete required paperwork (CoA, certificates, delivery notes) for all goods received on site.
- Collaborate with Packing Area Managers for correct storage and control of products; liaise with Quality to resolve issues promptly.
- Perform inbound quality checks against supplier specifications for materials, packaging, ingredients, and processing aids.
- Check inbound deliveries of new or changed packaging materials for artwork and sampling plan compliance.
- Ensure inbound materials are traceable and compliant with specifications.
- Quarantine, control, and communicate non‑conforming materials appropriately within the business.
- Support internal and external audits, providing requested information.
- Additional duties as reasonably requested.
Qualifications & Essential Capabilities
- Good numeric and English literacy skills.
- Computer literacy; ability to handle data quickly and accurately (SAP, Windows, Microsoft Office).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work unsupervised, prioritize workload, and multitask.
- Proven teamwork and flexibility.
- Fork Lift Truck License.
