Warehouse Coordinator – Tate & Lyle Sugars

Overview

Responsible for checking, receiving, putting away goods and materials from vendors and accurately managing the storage & movements at Thames Refinery.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain highest standards of safety, quality, hygiene and environmental compliance.
  • Receive, inspect, and store goods and materials in correct locations (MRO & Materials).
  • Enter goods receipts, issues and stock transfers into the SAP system.
  • Conduct physical inventory counts, investigate stock variances, and report findings.
  • Administer equipment collection for repair and coordinate local vendor deliveries.
  • Ensure timely loading and unloading of goods, maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Optimize weekly delivery schedule with Materials Management for efficient vehicle use.
  • Complete required paperwork (CoA, certificates, delivery notes) for all goods received on site.
  • Collaborate with Packing Area Managers for correct storage and control of products; liaise with Quality to resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform inbound quality checks against supplier specifications for materials, packaging, ingredients, and processing aids.
  • Check inbound deliveries of new or changed packaging materials for artwork and sampling plan compliance.
  • Ensure inbound materials are traceable and compliant with specifications.
  • Quarantine, control, and communicate non‑conforming materials appropriately within the business.
  • Support internal and external audits, providing requested information.
  • Additional duties as reasonably requested.

Qualifications & Essential Capabilities

  • Good numeric and English literacy skills.
  • Computer literacy; ability to handle data quickly and accurately (SAP, Windows, Microsoft Office).
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised, prioritize workload, and multitask.
  • Proven teamwork and flexibility.
  • Fork Lift Truck License.
