Company Overview: ASR Group is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, with operations across North America, Europe, Mexico, and Belize. Brands include Domino, C&H, Redpath, Tate & Lyle, Lyle’s, and Sidul.
Position Scope: Responsible for replacing, upgrading, maintaining, and designing control systems for new capital projects.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Replace/upgrade and maintain control and instrumentation hardware and software.
- Communicate with refinery personnel regarding control systems changes.
- Provide instrumentation expertise for new projects.
- Ensure compliance with European safety standards and hazardous area installations.
- Supervise contractors during installation and commissioning.
- Support existing control systems to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and recommend process control system improvements.
- Contribute to control system standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor team members.
Supervisory Responsibility: None.
Location: Thames-based with travel to other European sites.
Experience & Education:
- Solid project management experience.
- Knowledge of control systems and networking hardware, especially Allen Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware ArchestrA.
- Minimum HNC or Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
