ASR Group’s companies have more than 150 years of experience taking sugar cane from the field to the table. Our expertise in every aspect of the cane sugar process is without equal. We are the largest vertically integrated cane sugar refiner in the world. Our nine refineries are found in five countries across the globe and collectively can produce more than six million tonnes of sugar. SHIFT : Mon-Friday
- Week 1 - 3 dayshifts (We,Th,Fr)
- Week 2 - 3 nightshifts (Mo,Tu,We)
- Week 3 - 2 dayshifts (Mo,Tu) & 2 nightshifts (Th,Fr)
- Revert to Week 1 etc.
To safely operate, maintain and improve a packing line to meet the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) plan cost effectively and to agreed customer requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate packing line(s) and other offline equipment to safety, environmental, quality, hygiene and output standards
- Complete required quality checks, compare results against specified parameters and follow Company Quality procedures for action where required
- Adjust plant when appropriate to ensure agreed specifications are maintained
- Use FLT’s to supply lines with packaging equipment
- Use knowledge and experience to anticipate problems where possible and to solve problems when they do occur using relevant CI tools
- Record quality and performance data, and monitor line performance trends and material usage taking corrective action where appropriate
- Clearly communicate handover information and issues within packing team of Operators and Maintenance Technicians
- Involvement in continuous improvement projects where appropriate
- Keyboard skills and IT aptitude to input and access data
- Verbal & written communication skills to accurately describe problems, causes and solutions
- Planning skills to ensure routine activities can be completed
- Positive attitude and commitment

- Manual Handling awareness
