Position Scope

Reporting to the Packing Operations Manager, the successful candidate will undertake a comprehensive Packing Engineer graduate training program. This program is designed to provide a broad understanding of the refining process and our business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Projects: Work on optimization projects to enhance safety, hygiene, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) performance.
  • Supervision Experience: Gain experience in supervising packing operations and provide cover for supervisors and managers when needed.
  • New Product Development: Evaluate new product development (NPD) and packing equipment investment opportunities.
  • Equipment Upgrades: Participate in equipment and line upgrades, ensuring projects are delivered on time and meet required specifications.
  • Efficiency Improvements: Develop projects to reduce packing over-weights, packing material wastage, and re-melt.
  • Engineering Collaboration: Work alongside the engineering team to ensure accurate and relevant engineering documentation is available.
  • Problem Solving: Use your knowledge and experience to anticipate and resolve engineering problems.
  • Maintenance Support: Assist the maintenance team in carrying out efficient maintenance activities.
  • Quality and Safety: Maintain high quality and safety standards at all times.
  • Refinery Operations: Gain valuable experience in refinery operations.
