The predicted salary is between 26000 - 39000 £ per year.

This role is working a 3 shift (1 week days, 1 week PM's, 1 week Nights), an average of 39 hours per week (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am) at our Normanton site. The role will be supporting the manufacturing team producing various packed sugar products.

As a Machine Technician you will:

  • ensure that all products are produced in line with customer specification.
  • confirm that company quality and hygiene procedures are followed in order to maintain the safety and integrity of the final product.
  • ensure paperwork is completed correctly and promptly in line with company procedures.
  • report and escalate any non-conforming product in line with company quality procedures.
  • communicate with colleagues across the factory to ensure minimum production down time in the event of line stoppage.
  • make sure that waste targets are met and improved upon where possible.
  • ensure that packaging and other related consumables are used effectively to minimise wastage and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • provide machine setup and adjustment to production line, in order to minimise downtime. This will include making technical adjustments and fault finding which may involve some manual handling activities.
  • build effective working relationships with colleagues across all departments within the factory, thus aiding in effective communication channels.
  • Champion all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental targets.
